Dynamic Weighting: The Right Score for Every Viewer
On each page, we clearly show how we calculated the scores and which weighting profile was used. This ensures every recommendation is accurate, logical, and context-aware.
The overall reviews use our balanced six-pillar profile, but category pages can use specialised profiles that match the viewer intent on that page. For example, a TV series page should care more about series depth and current-season access, while a documentary page should care most about documentary catalogue strength.

Every score is a weighted average. The public table above keeps things simple by showing the final review score only, while this section shows how the maths works behind the scenes.
Balanced Review Formula: (Content × 0.45) + (Value × 0.25) + (UX × 0.05) + (Devices × 0.05) + (Features × 0.15) + (Reputation × 0.05) = Final Score
Netflix Calculation Example:
- (9.2 × 0.45) = 4.14 points from Content
- (8.1 × 0.25) = 2.025 points from Value
- (9.8 × 0.05) = 0.49 points from UX
- (9.9 × 0.05) = 0.495 points from Devices
- (8.0 × 0.15) = 1.20 points from Features
- (9.2 × 0.05) = 0.46 points from Reputation
Total: 4.14 + 2.025 + 0.49 + 0.495 + 1.20 + 0.46 = 8.81, which rounds to a final score of 8.8 / 10.
Average Across Current Reviewed Platforms:
The Formula: Add all displayed provider scores, then divide by the number of providers.
Current average: (8.8 + 8.8 + 8.6 + 8.5 + 8.2 + 8.0 + 8.0 + 7.2 + 7.2) ÷ 9 = 8.14, which rounds to 8.1 / 10.
This keeps the balanced overall review methodology transparent without showing the older in-depth provider-by-provider score tables.
